Cookie policy
What dentbyte.ro stores in your browser, why, and how to change your choice.
In force since 1 October 2026
1. Introduction
1.1. This Cookie policy explains how the dentbyte.ro website (the "Website") uses cookies and similar technologies, the categories used, their legal bases and how you can manage your choices.
1.2. This Policy supplements the Privacy Policy, available on the Website.

3. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
3.1. Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website, which let the device be recognised on later visits.
3.2. Similar technologies include the browser's local storage, known as localStorage. Unlike cookies, information stored this way is not sent automatically to the server; it stays on your device until it is deleted.
3.3. The Website uses local storage and, only with your consent, analytics cookies. This Policy covers both.
4. Legal Basis
4.1. Strictly necessary information. It is essential for the Website to be able to honour your choices, such as your cookie choice and your display theme. Legal basis: the legitimate interest in providing a working Website, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, together with the exemption provided by the legislation on electronic communications. Consent: not required.
4.2. Analytics cookies. They are used to understand how many people read a page, and which ones they leave on. Legal basis: consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent: required. These cookies are not placed before consent is given.
4.3. Marketing cookies. They would show whether an advert you saw elsewhere brought you to the Website. We do not use any cookie of this kind at present. The banner asks about this category, but nothing runs on it.
4.4. We show no adverts on the Website and we do not carry out behavioural advertising.
5. Cookies Used on the Website
5.1. The Website does not place cookies of its own.
5.2. Analytics cookies, placed only after consent is given

6. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
6.1. The following information is stored in the browser's local storage. It is not sent to our servers and is not used to track your behaviour.
dentbyte-consent
- Purpose: remembering your cookie choice
- Duration: 12 months, after which you are asked again
theme

- Duration: until you delete it
7. Configuration of the Analytics Tool
7.1. Google Analytics is not loaded on the Website before consent is given. If you refuse, it is not loaded at all.
7.2. On acceptance, the tool is configured under Google Consent Mode v2: every storage category starts as denied, and then only the analytics_storage category is granted.
7.3. The advertising categories, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization, are never granted, whatever choice you make.
7.4. The data from the sign-up form is not sent to Google.
8. Third-Party Cookies
8.1. The only third party that places cookies on the Website is Google, through the Google Analytics service, and only on the basis of your consent. Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
8.2. If we use a new tool, including in the Marketing category, we will list it in this Policy and ask for your choice again before it runs.
9. Managing Consent
9.1. On your first visit to the Website you are shown a banner that lets you accept, refuse or choose the categories of cookies. Refusing is as easy as accepting, the banner does not block access to the content, and refusing does not limit your use of the Website.
9.2. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time, through the Cookie settings button, always available in the page footer. When consent is withdrawn, Google Analytics is stopped and its cookies are deleted. The withdrawal takes effect for the future and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.
9.3. You can also manage cookies in your browser's settings, which generally let you block cookies, delete existing ones and be notified when one is placed.
10. Retention Periods
10.1. Analytics cookies last up to 2 years, unless you delete them earlier or withdraw your consent.
10.2. Your cookie choice is kept for 12 months, after which you are asked again.
10.3. The display theme is kept until you delete it in your browser's settings.
11. International Transfers
11.1. Data collected through analytics cookies may be processed by Google outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States of America.
11.2. These transfers take place on the basis of an adequacy decision adopted by the European Commission, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or on the basis of the Standard Contractual Clauses, under Chapter V GDPR.
12. Amendments to This Policy
12.1. We reserve the right to update this Policy, to adapt it to technical or legislative changes.
12.2. Changes are published on this page, together with the version and the date they come into force.
